Imagine you identified users who have a weak password, reused their password, or use a password from known breaches.

I would like to notify them that they need to change their password and at the same time increase that chance that they pick a good password when they are asked (or forced) to change their password.

As the password is for their central account a password safe is of limited use 😬
As they can't access their company system without the password, they would need a password safe on another (non-company) device

I'm looking for a simple (standalone, offline, portabel) password generator.

The idea is to "give" it to users when they are requested to change their password
(Reasoning: The time you are forced to change your password NOW is the worst time to think of a unique strong password)

Ideally the generated password should be memorable and typable (on mobile)

It might be a good idea to offer choices and a regenerate option.
Choices might be #DiceWare passwords (with a language specific wordlist)

Ideally the passwords should confirm to configurable password policies

And it should be necessary to mention it. It should be secure!

Edit: a way to add the the password proposals to the Windows password change dialog would also be nice (i belive Ubuntu día something like this)

Weil ich wissen wollte woher der kommt, habe ich gerade danach gesucht. Und ich finde NICHTS.

Some time ago I saw an article here, were a professor or teacher described their experience with using #AI in the classroom.

One experience which stuck with me was students creating titles for their term papers. While the individual students generally found the AI generated title better than their own, the events took a surprising term. While the individual titles looked good the AI unified the title. The AI generated tiles were reduced to essential three different title with slight variations

Ich wurde jetzt bereits mehrfach von Kollegen kontaktiert, die Emails zur "Datenschutzbestätigung" oder "Pflichtinformation gem. Art. 12 ff. DS-GVO" von Firmen mit denen sie (zumindest bewusst) nichts zu tun hatten.

Seht ihr was ähnliches?

Die Analysierten Emails waren nicht direkt "schädlich", mache der Firmen bekannt.

Was wollen die Firmen damit bezwecken?
Sind gerade "neue" Regelungen in Kraft getreten, die so was nötig machen (oder es zumindest so erscheinen lassen)?

I need some tips or advice.

I would like to reimage my (Intel) MacBook Pro.
The reason is that i suspect some low level third party drivers are messing up my power management (therefore i don't want to restore from the Time Machine backup)

In the (distant) past I dinos replaced the ssd but this isn't possible.

I continuously experience a #cybersecurity conundrum.

A manufacturer/developer isn't investing in security because the customers don't demand security. And even less are running to pay a premium for security.

With the end users there still seems to be an "I have nothing to hide" attitude.

So I'm looking for ideas, suggestions and experiences on how to increase and generate security awareness both on the management side as well as on the end user side.

Regarding end users there is the additional challenge of another layer of indirection.
I need to enable the "sellers" to create the security awareness, as they talk to the end users.

I'm NOT looking for advice like "just tell them what can go wrong" because i don't think it works. Or at least not if it is abstract and isn't personal.
