"Ignore the noise.
This is the real Europe.
Welcome to Europe.
Birthplace of industry.
Home of frontier tech."

Video source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_tWbrvd3E0

Description:
" “AC this, wash dryer that, US woohoo, EU boohoo” - Why are we eating this brand-warfare from the outside about us up?

Europe has the strongest precision manufacturing in the world, we have leading teams in AI, CV, robotics. Europe is a leader in Automation and Frontier Tech!

Not a single NVIDIA chip could be produced without European machines. Not a single American cloud, robotics, or deep-tech firm would operate without European manufacturing or suppliers.

But we are too humble. Brainwashed to never celebrate Europe. By outsiders and our local politicians.

Time for a change.

Europe is the birthplace of industrialization.
The home of frontier tech.

Time, we act like it.

Welcome to the real Europe! 🔥🇪🇺"

Europeans seek 'digital sovereignty' as US tech firms embrace Trump

Here are some stats from the article:

"Use in Europe of Swiss-based ProtonMail rose 11.7% year-on-year to March compared to a year ago, according to Similarweb, while use of Alphabet's Gmail, which has some 70% of the global email market, slipped 1.9%.

Similarweb data shows the number of queries directed to Ecosia from the European Union has risen 27% year-on-year and the company says it has 1% of the German search engine market.

Signal, a messaging app run by a U.S. nonprofit foundation, has also seen a surge in installations from Europe. Similarweb's data showed a 7% month-on-month increase in Signal usage in March, while use of Meta's WhatsApp was static."

It would be nice to have more growth statistics from 6 months after the BuyFromEU movement gained momentum. 🙂

Who is Anton Vincent Fredrik Palfi Osika? 🇸🇪

Short excerpts:

"Anton Vincent Fredrik Palfi Osika, born on August 10, 1990, is a Swedish AI entrepreneur with a profound impact on the tech industry. His journey into the world of technology began early, driven by a childhood fascination with how things work, often leading him to dismantle gadgets. Inspired by films like "The Matrix," he started learning to code at the age of 12, teaching himself by reading books from the library and creating computer games.

He is highly influential, ranking as the #1 LinkedIn influencer in Sweden within the IT & Tech category and among the top 1% globally in Computer Engineering.

In late 2023, Anton Osika embarked on his most ambitious venture yet: Lovable. This AI software platform aims to democratize software creation by allowing individuals, even those without coding knowledge, to build functional applications using natural language. Lovable originated as a side project, initially an open-source tool called GPT Engineer, which Osika developed over a few weekends after the release of ChatGPT.

Under his leadership, Lovable has experienced meteoric growth, achieving unicorn status (valued at up to $2 billion) within months of its launch."

Does Europe's payments strategy add up?

"EU residents have an impressive range of ways to pay for goods and services at home – including with cash, cards, smartphones, direct debits, bank transfers and instant payment apps. Yet the EU institutions have spent years fretting that most of these services do not work seamlessly across borders. The main way residents pay for goods and services across the whole bloc remains American payment networks like Visa and Mastercard. There is still no EU-wide payments champion, despite the EU’s many efforts to foster one."

Hey tech friends. I'm wondering about alternatives to stripe, specifically to stripe connect for split payouts. Anybody have any opinions about these European alternatives? https://european-alternatives.eu/alternative-to/stripe

I see others like these but many of them have U.S. headquarters. https://tipalti.com/resources/learn/stripe-competitors-and-alternatives/
