There are the albums you hear and enjoy, then there are the albums that stick with you over the years. Belly Bones, recorded in 2004 by Rock Jack, is one such album for me.

In addition to original tunes like “Darth Vader Is Mean” and “Toilet Master” (Did I mention the vocalist was 3 1/2 years old at the time?), their cover of Van Halen’s “Somebody Get Me A Doctor” is easily my favorite version of the song.

Joe Bob sez check it out.

Isabel's album came out this week, including finally a studio recording of her song Langzam un Likhtik which was set for my choir back in 2020 with her permission. Sounds great.

"Unhurried and radiant
Your forehead bent to my forehead
Until your black fire sank into
My blue fire.

And my room filled with summer,
And my room became full of night.
I closed my light-filled, tear-filled eyes,
And wept silently in my late summer."
