Angel who is #Disabled and chronically ill has been fighting to keep her family housed @kshernandez has been advocating for them for months

There has been no movement and now this #Black family is #unhoused and in danger

That being said @kshernandez is ALSO in danger of losing housing so if you believe in #BLM FUCKING SHOW IT WITH YOUR WALLETS

KS is a #Disabled survivor of many traumatic things include #trafficking they have stress ENOUGH just from living, please don't let them continue to have harm and neglect

Went to a bank branch today to make a payment I have to make in person due to various factors.

Was waiting to be seen and overheard a conversation between a bank employee and another customer. The employee was dumbstruck by the customer not having internet access and therefore struggling to suggest next steps.

We are storing up *so* much trouble. Building systems that are failing people

@urlyman This doesn't just apply to banks. Imagine you don't have #internet, are an #elderly &/or #disabled person & want a postal vote. To get one now, you either have to apply online & upload a photo of yourself or your signature to the GOV.UK website, or download a paper form, which means you still have to be online & need a printer to print the form. But you're NOT ONLINE, so you can't do either thing!

I’m not a fan of Thomas Kinkade’s art, but I’m very pleased with this statement from the Kinkade Family Foundation:

“On July 1st, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) posted a photo on their social media accounts accompanied by a Thomas Kinkade Studios painting. The use of his artwork was unauthorized, and we have requested that DHS remove the post, and we are consulting with our counsel on our options.

“At The Kinkade Family Foundation, we strongly condemn the sentiment expressed in the post and the deplorable actions that DHS continues to carry out. Like many of you, we were deeply troubled to see this image used to promote division and xenophobia associated with the ideals of DHS, as this is antithetical to our mission. We stand firmly with our communities who have been threatened and targeted by DHS, especially our immigrant, BIPOC, undocumented, LGBTQ+, and disabled relatives and neighbors.”
