They aren't in U.S. illegally & have no criminal record. DHS is simply trying to end their asylum claims.

Here is the email from Chomsky to Epstein, which was forwarded to Hiltzik.

Note that it's FAR past the 2008 date of Epstein's conviction.

Regardless whether this specific email is true, and proof positive of participation, Chomsky remained friends with Epstein to the end. If nothing else, he knew of the 2008 conviction.

If there's a charge, it's true, in fact True. Any response is "mansplaining," another power play, reinforcing the charge. You've seen I'm sure what happened to Lawrence. "Mr. Dernbach, don't play Russian roulette with H's life," he wrote. "Err on the side of caution. There's a reason the US government along with many other governments don't recognise the Taliban. Apply principles of common sense and decency."

That was it. In five minutes, Jon said, he finished the note, signed his first and last name, pressed send and hoped his plea would make a difference.

Five hours and one minute later, Jon was watching TV with his wife when an email popped up in his inbox. He noticed it on his phone.
