“ #SCOTUS cleared the way on Tuesday for #Trump administration to resume carrying out mass job cuts and the restructuring of agencies, elements of his campaign to downsize and reshape the federal government.”

Keep 'em coming
(with an eye on #SCOTUS, of course)

BREAKING: A federal judge just blocked the "big beautiful bill's" [sic] provision to defund Planned Parenthood.

NEW: SCOTUS shoots down a federal judge’s effort to protect eight men from being expelled—without due process—to South Sudan, where they face torture and death.
Dissenting, Sotomayor says the court’s “indefensible” decision makes it complicit in “lawlessness.” https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24a1153_2co3.pdf

NEW: The Supreme Court will decide next term whether states may lawfully prohibit transgender women and girls from participating in school sports on the women's team.
In light of Skrmetti, the answer will likely be "yes." https://www.supremecourt.gov/orders/courtorders/070325zr_bqmd.pdf
Oh gods! The US Supreme Court is going to hear a case on the Constitutionality of conversion therapy bans. Given the Court's proven track record of ingnoring the rights of minorities, especially LGBT minorities, this is a looming disaster.
I was sent to conversion therapy by my parents when I was 12 and they found out I was trans. I lied to get out of it and hid and repressed myself for years because of it

The Supreme Court's fifth decision is Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton. By a 6–3 vote, the court UPHOLDS age-verification laws for online porn, holding that they are only subject to intermediate scrutiny. All three liberals dissent. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/23-1122_3e04.pdf
Fifth ruling from #SCOTUS is in the Texas porn age-verification case.
For a 6-3 majority (with the three Democratic appointees dissenting), Justice Thomas upholds Texas's age-verification scheme for porn websites against a First Amendment challenge:

🚨By a 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court rules that universal injunctions likely exceed federal courts' authority and rolls back the injunctions protecting birthright citizenship from Trump's attack. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24a884_8n59.pdf
SCOTUS conservative supermajority just took away lower courts' single most powerful tool for reining in the Trump administration's lawless excesses, stripping them of authority to issue universal injunctions that block illegal policies nationwide
Three reminders ahead of #SCOTUS news at 10 ET:
Decisions come out in reverse seniority order by who wrote it (so KBJ first; Chief last);
Anything unsigned ("per curiam") comes after anything signed; and
This is just for argued cases; other business can (and will) come up all summer.
