I need more recommendations for non-fiction on water, especially rivers. But not ones that focus on colonial history (positively) or the economy tied to rivers, ones more focused on ecology.

You can hear the soft rush of water slipping over hidden ledges, creating a gentle, rhythmic murmur. On your left, a small wooden cabin with a red roof sits nestled among dark pine trees. Warm light glows from its windows, and a path lined with bright orange lanterns leads toward it, casting a cozy, inviting warmth against the cooling air. The scent of damp moss and pine lingers around you. Towering mountains rise on both sides, their steep, rocky faces rugged and ancient, dusted with snow near the peaks. Slide Rock State Park, AZ

A very popular spot, so hard to take a photo without people or power lines🤔
Last year, I got a nice shot, but with power lines 🙃
This year, there are no power lines, but there are a few people (if you look closely). Still, I don’t think it’s too bad 😊

Fishing is not permitted in this area, but there are good fishing spots both upstream and downstream of the park.
