So, for the record, founding a company, passing your income & expenses through it, running it at a loss, then closing the company and opening a new one, is really simple. And now there’s proof that billionaires hide obscene amounts of wealth via this One Weird Trick.

A new study by some of the country’s most preeminent economists has finally put concrete numbers to the disparity. The billionaire class tax rates were lower than the average paid by ALL American households. Their taxes went down 30% because Trump1, and now even more with Trmp2. It’s grift all the way down.

To help offset the revenue losses, the Trump administration is stripping health coverage from millions of low-income Americans and shrinking Food Stamps. The rich, including Trump, will keep getting richer. The poor will pay for it.

Pitchforks, anyone?

Link is a pdf to the study. I’ve scanned it, it appears clean.

Wow, this would really cut executive pay. I love it. There’s an idea floating around called #Limitarianism, meaning we cap maximum wealth at some level like $10M and cap income, too.

We’re in a climate crisis largely due to the actions of these executives, so tax them out of existence.

"Majority of people in 40 countries want 4:1 maximum pay ratios for CEOs and their lowest-paid workers”

In democracies, we're told, politicians exist to reflect and enact the popular will; but the truth is, politicians' primary occupation is thwarting the will of the people, in preference to the will of a small group of wealthy, powerful people.

One thing that the current exorbitant investments in "AI" show is that the investor class and big tech corporations do not pay enough taxes: If you have billions to set on fire for spicy autocomplete we should take some or all of those to do something useful with.
