"My biggest pet peeve in politics is when people who don’t live in the South say, “You get what you voted for.” Because this is not what I voted for. I didn’t vote for the highest maternal mortality rate in the country. I didn’t vote for the most dangerous place for workers in the country. I didn’t vote for the highest inflationary cost of groceries in the country." -- Aftyn Behn. #TN07 #Tennessee #1u

The AEI is in panic because only 61% of 12th grade girls say they want to get married as of 2023 compared to 83% in 1993. Maybe it's because the very people the AEI is championing want a society where motherhood is frowned on and women are denied equal pay for equal work. Support motherhood? Join the movements for unions, #MedicareForAll, #Housing for all, and #BasicIncome so people can afford to get married and have kids. #1u
Someone asked if people are willing to pay $8 for their coffee at Starbucks if the union gets its way. Someone bought me a coffee at Starbucks recently, and it was $6.50. I suspect they would. #1u
The Starbucks CEO is paid $95.8 million a year. The median worker at Starbucks makes $14,674 a year, which is barely enough for a living wage here in the middle of nowhere, let alone #NYC or #California. (Americans for Tax Fairness) #1u
