This mixed with the UK’s vague definition of terrorism could lead to content being wrongly flagged and removed.

This includes supportive posts about Palestine or protests and debate about the Palestine Action ban.

We also need to be deeply concerned about the way laws interact, such as the #PalestineAction proscription. Platforms are now obliged under the #onlinesafetyact to remove this "terrorist content". How then do they protect free speech, in the face of this clear duty?

The proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist group starts tomorrow.

This is a dangerous escalation in the criminalisation of political dissent in the UK.

It’ll increase surveillance, particularly under the Prevent Duty, and censorship under the Online Safety Act.
