Among the continuous influx of bad news there's been a positive development recently in Syria: Ahmed al-Sharaa's government and the Kurdish-centric SDF hammered out a deal for the latter to be integrated in the new Syrian state. After a “ceasefire agreement” was announced by the Jolani regime and circulated on social media Mazlum Abdî confirmed in a television speech that a temporary ceasefire has been agreed on and that the #SDF will pull back from Raqqa and Deir Ez-Zor to the south of Hassakah to prevent further civilian casualties. Tomorrow a high level meeting between the SDF and the Jolani regime will be taking place in which according to Abdî further negotiations will be held. At the end of his speech he underlined that “The achievements of the Revolution will be defended.”
