I've just realised that my current location near Muscat is about 23km North of the Tropic of Cancer.
I've also just worked out that at the next summer solstice (09:24UTC) the sun will be about 450km to the west of me somewhere over the UAE.
Dhank is the nearest Omani town close to the Tropic of Cancer.
For some reason I feel this is significant and that I should be planning to do something at that time.
