I like #DuckDuckGo. But this simplistic poll about #AI ("yes" v. "no") doesn't help anyone.

My answer is: "yes" for some purposes, "no" for some purposes, and "maybe/testing" for other purposes. By excluding people who don't want to oversimplify, DDG has decided to collect bad data.
To be charitable, DDG might be asking whether using AI should be a choice ("choice yes" v. "choice no"). But if that's what it's asking, it could be a lot clearer.
#duckduckgo asking are you "Yes/No AI" is a really dumb question. You might as well ask are you "Yes Internet"? Are you "Yes Social Media"?

It is great to see the #PeerTube ecosystem gaining substance. I did not really study this quantitatively, but I find myself ever more often having luck trying a #SepiaSearch before a #duckduck video search. There are some genres very well represented, in particular the more nerdy stuff, naturally.
On #MakerTube where I help moderation, I see an actual clear increase in users and daily content creation.

@eff not only do they track you across the various sites but also through various apps. Best to put all such apps on a second account. Alternatively, the #DuckDuckGo browser for mobile has a set of protections to deal with the pesky trackers.
So okay, I had to use DuckDuckGo bc I forgot to pay for Kagi and OMG tbh I'm so spoiled w Kagi.

People using #DuckDuckGo as daily search engine, have you notice a sharp degradation on the quality of results? I feel that more than ever my searches end up in a sea of slop and copy-pasted content.
@madeindex I'm not a specialist in these solutions but maybe just use a privacy browser like DuckDuckgo? Or was this meant for use on a computer/laptop?
@sonjavan62 Yes, #Ublockorigin is for PC, #Duckduckgo does not automatically block #AI content from the search results AFAIK :)
