You are standing off a soaking wet path along a small silent brook... The vegetation shows signs of late autumn after another frosty night.

There's a leafless gnarly old tree near the water. Its trunk, branches and twigs are illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun, almost golden from within.

It's mostly quiet but you notice some rustling in the reeds near the water.

There's fallen leafs on the ground. Exits are east onwards the foot path or back northwest.
