you know how in corporate speak, there are “glue people”?
https://mastodon.social/@blogdiva/114869692747102624

after Gamergate gave rise to #MAGA, Canadian sociologists came to the conclusion that the glue people that bind sociopaths, narcissists and machiavellians into social & political movements are sadists, aka trolls.

if #cruelty is the point of #fascism, #death is the point of trumpism. Miller, techbros, christofascists, zionists are all necrophiliacs.

I want to ventilate on how important PPE is since it's the last stop between you and disaster

First these screencaps

As you can see wikipedia clearly states the importance of PPE on motorcycles.
Had my little cousin taken PPE into account he would have survived the crash, given the fact that he had undergone Judo where you learn how to properly break a fall ( he had not)

I'm a PPE freak and use it for everything;
When I cook I use EN388 cutlevel 5 gloves, I use ANSI Z87.1 glasses when I operate machinery like my grinders and drills, along with proper body PPE and earmufs with an NRR of -24dB. Same when I do heavy drilling / demolition / jack hammering, where you need to protect your scrotum and intestines against violent shaking of the machines.

In trucks I have full truck PPE all the way down to my underware, esp designed for driving heavy trucks with heavy loads

If I still screwup I only need to swap out that part of my PPE set with a new one, deduct what went wrong and why, and make sure I dont repeat the mistake

The screencap displays a webpage with a black background and white text. At the top, the title "The 'PACE'" is prominently displayed in red. Below, the text is a reprint of Nick Lenatsch's Pace Philosophy from the June 1993 Sport Rider magazine. The article discusses the importance of pacing oneself on the street rather than racing, using a tragic example of a rider who died due to excessive speed and lack of skill. It contrasts this with the racetrack, where riders can learn from mistakes and recover. The article emphasizes that the street is not a racetrack and that pacing oneself is far more enjoyable and safer than street racing. The text concludes by stating that learning to stop and turn is crucial for rider safety. The webpage's URL is "musiccity-doc.org," and the page is viewed on a mobile device, as indicated by the status bar showing the time, battery level, and other icons.

Processing the loss of my little cousin, who died Sunday in a traffic 🚦 incident. The tragic thing is that my little cousin was racing with a friend of his without wearing proper motorcycle PPE, category racing. On top of that he was racing on public roads not on a racetrack.

Since the speed was high and proper PPE was not worn, the result was deadly for him

He was only twenty-one

Sigh 😔
