@homegrown @FediFollows I've used the #fediverse since 2017, had accounts on many different instances. A month ago i created my current account on #MastodonSocial because i was transferring over 1K music posts from #Bluesky where i had done a music discovery project earlier in 2025 but wanted to leave there and not lose all that work.

I chose Mastodon.social because it was a TON of work and i needed to know i was choosing an instance that could handle that many posts and wasn't going away.

* research which instance best fits you and migrate away from mastodon.social
* wear a mask in public
* don't go to work sick

* help me out with my bills (I pay 5€ a day for supplements excluding medication, because of a PAIS [post accute infectious syndrome like post covid, mecfs or whatever] - my health bills alone exceed my income)
* spread empathy, not hate

* don't judge yourself if you can't support me with all or any of these points

I saw #mastodonSocial just updated their terms of service to prohibit scraping data for training #LLMs which sucks. Maybe I'll move instances again.

But I wonder; how does this work across the #Fediverse? Like, surely an instance that federates with m.s doesn't have to abide by this rule, and could allow the same #ActivityPub content to be scrapped from their servers instead.

Which just makes this kind of performative.
