Important public information is being systematically removed from government websites by the US fascist administration.

Much of this essential data is sourced from sites like sciop.net/datasets/.

I've been contributing by running a torrent server, but its existing tired hard drives are dropping like flies. I have the benefit of free solar power and a free server with unmetered bandwidth, but without new storage, this vital preservation work will halt.

Every donation will help me acquire "renewed" datacenter grade 12TB or 14TB hard drives, allowing me to continue my efforts to archive and protect public information for future generations. Currently, renewed Western Digital 14TB drives are about $160 ea, and the server can hold 8 of them. The GoFundMe goal is $1356 because that would fill the entire server with 112TB of storage.

So now #Google#YouTube is pulling out all the stops to keep #ytdlp from working -__-

Some hero is out there on GitHub working on an SABR implementation and even has a PR ready, but FFS. This is getting to the point where I'd rather just blackhole YouTube entirely and wait for the next big thing, to hell with whatever I might miss out on.

I came across this post that @littlest__freckle works with an #archive called Föreningsarkivet Västernorrland, "which focuses on the workers' movement in northern Sweden" so I went to briefly explore it and came across this poster for the "Elefant-Cirkus" from 1897 that has some amazing #typography
