Crops are rotting in the fields, on the vine and in the trees because more than 70% of farm labor has been deported, fled or is scared that ICE will round them up.

And weirdly enough none of the MAGA Trump voters who whine about immigrants stealing their jobs have stepped up to take the place of the displaced migrant workers.

My God, a rural hospital in #Nebraska has ALREADY decided to close over the #BigUglyBill. The #GOP critters thought they could delay the impact until after the midterms, but it is just as I was saying Tuesday at that GOP critter's office: any cuts at all to funding for rural healthcare and it folds. Rural medical services have been on a knife edge for years and any cuts will close them.

Have long loved the political humour expressed by ordinary people oppressed by the police states of the Warsaw Pact back in the 1980s and earlier.

My favourite Soviet joke concerned the three Czechoslovak Secret Policemen. Updated for modern times it goes:

Q: Why do #ICE agents always go around in threes?

A: Because one can read; one can write, and the third is there to keep an eye on the two dangerous intellectuals...
