California farm workers will strike for citizenship and basic human rights from Wednesday to Friday of this week.

Okay, the California farm worker strike is happening this week from Wednesday to Friday-- a trial run, I would think, considering the court verdict today ending "roving patrol" ICE raids. (We will see whether it does or not, I guess.)

In the meantime, we can support the workers by spreading information about the strike. They explicitly said before this that they want people to help raise awareness.

Very important matter to keep an eye on today: #California farm workers will be announcing the dates of a strike for citizenship and basic human rights. We will want to support their efforts and also be aware of the effect on food prices, which will mean more difficulty for many in our own communities nationwide. Obviously, it's got to be done, but the more of us who support the workers and each other, the less pain all around.

#California protesters continue to protest outside hotels hosting #ICE. They say to the ICE Nazis: "If we can't sleep and feel safe, neither can you!"
They keep it up until the hotel kicks ICE out. Mind you, it doesn't always take very long, because the hotels generally hate ICE too and do not book them knowingly.

This organizer in #California says a farmworker strike is coming at the height of harvest season (dates yet to be announced).
Community support is making this happen. Mutual aid drives at protests, people delivering groceries to immigrants' homes so they can stay safe, people buying out vendors' stock, this has been going on for months now.
Combined with the #Philly strike you can see the writing on the wall.
