I really miss walking among the west coast cedar trees,
their smooth, flat, needles brushing gently against the skin on my hands and face;
inhaling the lovely fragrance ever so lightly spicy paired with a strong deep sweetness.
If caught in a light rain a large cedar tree offered a dry shelter,
where I rested my weary body upon a deep forgiving carpet of discarded dry fronds.
Crushed cedar needles when exposed to a tiny flame
always provided a natural fire starter to warm my damp chilled fingers and toes.

Hey folks! If you live in BC (or know people who do) and want to see some sort of proportional representation system of voting replace the first-past-the-post one we currently use, then now is the moment to act.
The BC gov’s special committee advised that a Citizen’s Assembly on Electoral Reform should be created to determine what voting system BC will use for future elections.
The BC gov’t will be voting on whether or not to act on that recommendation in the next few weeks, so right now is a great time to call your MPP and tell them you support it!
If you wanna **really** help out, you can join a phone bank* contacting folks who have already signed up with Fair Vote Canada to let them know it’s going down and what they can do.
It’s get out the vote time folks!
Please boost, this is the closest we’ve ever been to seeing real representation in a multi-party environment.
