The state of Melbourne's and Victoria's roads are bad. The recent downpours have made them even worse with new potholes all over the place. This photo taken in South Yarra is just one example.

Be careful driving along Toorak Road St near the Church St corner travelling north. If you are a pedestrian waiting for a tram, stand behind the big metal box so you are shielded from large muddy splashes as car tyres dip into these deep potholes. When getting on/off the tram make sure you walk around these potholes. They are in the places where tram doors open. You could definitely hurt your ankle if you accidentally stepped in them.
