(1/2) Ich habe ja vor einigen Monaten den Standard-Shop meines #Tolinos via genialokal.de auf den kleinen Buchladen im Nachbarort umgestellt und seitdem sämtliche #eBooks da gekauft. Betreten habe ich diesen Laden bislang aber nie, da ich fast ausschließlich digital lese.

Folks selling Kindle books, you should know that Amazon now offers the option to allow EPUB and PDF downloads of DRM-free books.
The option is presented when adding new books to Kindle, but for existing titles you have to opt-in for each of them to allow these new file formats.
(Amazon isn’t great, but when a rare customer-friendly option arrives, please take advantage of it!)
J'ai des ebooks dans mes fichiers sur Nextcloud. Je cherche une app Android pour les lire.
Je trouve rien qui me satisfait! C'est super frustrant!
Au minimum, j'aimerais que ça conserve la page où je suis rendu, idéalement synchronisé entre mes appareils.
J'aimerais bien aussi que mes annotations (surligner, commenter) soient synchronisées aussi entre mes appareils en utilisant mon Nextcloud.
Est-ce si compliqué??

Besitzt hier jemand "Das Graveyard-Buch" von Neil Gaiman als epub oder pdf und kann mir sagen, wie ich es vernünftig angezeigt bekomme? Ich habe es vor etwa drei Jahren gekauft und kann es nicht benutzen. Durchgehend sitzen die Texte nicht an dem ihnen zugehörigen Plätzen. Es ist eine Shice, die ich nicht gelöst bekomme. Gerne verschicke ich die Dateien auch, falls mir dann jemand helfen kann.

I've been using Foliate for a little while, and I stuggle to see the added value of Readest, that seems to be a soft fork of Foliate.
Am I missing out on something not obvious by sticking to Foliate?

People of the Fediverse, I need your advice.
My FIL undergoes dialysis every other day. He reads on an ereader during the therapy to pass time, because he can hold the device with a single hand and it is usually lighter than a book.
He's also an eldery person, he has issues adapting to touch interfaces.
I have collected all the button based kindles I could from fleamarkets. I repair them where possible, but their batteries are all dying.
I need advice on a **button based** ereader that is either economical (risk of drop is real) so I can buy spares, or resistant enough to survive drops. #ebook #ereader #kindle #accessibility
