What Adobe is doing with the cancellation of Animate should be illegal. Animators are livid atm.

Unfortunately most foss tools aren't as good as Animate to replace it (no, Grease Pencil doesn't quite do the same and Krita/Synfig/Pencil2d/OpenToonz aren't as feature-rich), but Moho is an excellent piece of software. First created for the #BeOS back in 1999, I remember using it back then. In 2007 it even had a #Linux version.

Has anyone dug deep into the new Pixelmator that's part of Apple's new Creator Studio? Why does a vector appeared dithered. I opened an Adobe Illustrator file and can edit it as a vector in Pixelmator, but zoomed in it is dithered. It is just how it is displayed—it isn't really dithered upon export to PDF or SVG, but it bugs the hell out of me. Though Im sure many people in the masto communities already know about it, here's a recommendation for Photopea. A very real alternative to Photoshop for many uses, this is a browser-based app that has multiple functions of PS, all in the browser. You do not need to be connected to the internet once you have opened the webpage (I need to do a couple of tests on this to find out how it works). All your artwork is kept on your own computer, so uses the local-hosting model for privacy and security (eg similar to Cryptpad). It is incredibly powerful, and free.
