I can't remember if I posted about this already or not...
One of my New Year's resolutions was to stop buying books from #Amazon. I read about 85 books per year; I LOVE to read. But I don't want to give my money to Amazon.
I've been using BookShop.org, which provides both physical and #DRM free e-books, AND allows me to designate 30% of the book's list price to my favorite local book store!

If you buy from Audible, make sure you download and get rid of the Audible DRM on your purchased audio files. A strange bug has been happening to me. I purchased audiobooks with cash, and these are favorite authors, so I knew I wanted to buy them. I never returned them. But today, Audible is acting as if I never bought them. I can't play them in my library but I can buy them again. #Audible #DRM #Audiobook #Audiobooks

An effective access control is one, that cannot be circumvented. If it can be circumvented, it was not effective in the first place. QED.
