It was wonderful to run on the frozen Old Danube in Vienna today. I followed all the branches in the lower part. Especially when you are familiar with swimming there, it is an astonishing experience to simply run on the water.

We got an unexpected visitor this evening. (Not as dramatic as it may look: A chunk of the building's facade fell down into the backyard, fire brigade came by to make sure nothing else was in risk of falling down. Too bad it's not #FensterFreitag.)

The motley collection of roofs, windows, and towers, that is Wawel Cathedral, in Krakow. The building was begun in the C14th, but "expanded by successive rulers, resulting in a versatile and eclectic architectural composition. There are examples of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassical and Neogothic elements" (to quote Wikipedia).
