Over the weekend, I created https://robot.villas using @fedify 2.0. Not knowing how activitypub worked made this a lot harder than I expected, but did get there in the end.

Each bot mirrors an RSS feed. @nyt_travel as an example. You can add your RSS feed for funzies at https://github.com/icco/robot.villas/blob/main/feeds.yml

Oops, I fell down the embedded NAND/NOR storage rabbit hole!
Trying to find a data structure that maximizes flash longevity and minimizes RAM and code footprint.

edit: forgot to mention: it should also be simple enough to implement in #Forth or some other minimal language. The aim is #collapseOS -style self-hosting, for maximum #permacomputing coolness.

I made a personal website! Although my official background is in visual stuff, a lot of what's on the site is writing. Semi-long-form writing, like, short essays. The first piece of writing that I'm highlighting is the one most relevant to the people with whom I share this masto instance, because it's about my experience with Merveilles. I'd love to know your thoughts. I'll probably change the piece based on feedback I receive, rather than leaving it alone as an immutable object -- because writing is, for me, a way to start a conversation and learn.

I hope you don't mind if I boost one piece of writing at a time here on mastodon as the site gets going. Feel free to ignore my spam.

I've also added myself to (and have been granted entry to) the Merveilles/XXIIVV webring -- which may seem like a small thing but it is exciting to me!

#Clojure corrupts me with its readability and threading macros. Inevitably, I want to use them in my #CommonLisp projects and non/not-exactly #Lisp projects.
