@jowek @abekonge @douginamug OMG this looks amazing! So thrilled to see Peer2Panda being rolled out like this! <3

Our presentation from @openalt konference 2025 in Brno is now online! 🐼 🙌🏻
In this talk @adz and @glyph present an overview of the peer-to-peer problem space and describe how each of the p2panda modules are designed to provide Connectivity, Discovery, Sync, Encryption, Access Control, Transactions and more.
Thanks again to everyone who helped make the conference possible! We had a fantastic time.

Hi friends, I'm one of several people working on LoRes Mesh, a #NeighbourhoodFirst hosting solution made up of multiple local web hosts connected #p2p in a mesh network in order to provide resilient local communications in this era of #ClimateEmergency
As part of trying to work in the open, I want to share our public roadmap at:
You'll see we're not yet at a production release, although we do have a working platform for installing apps (docker compose stacks) and P2P communication (using #p2panda).
Drop me a line if you can see a use for this, have views on the roadmap, would like to help build it, or fund it (it's non-profit).

OUT NOW! Our Part II Blog Post on building a convergent, offline-first Access Control CRDT!🍿🪩🧨
https://p2panda.org/2025/08/27/notes-convergent-access-control-crdt.html
Integrity, Provenance, Partial Ordering, Linearization, Concurrency, Conflicts, Consensus, Finality, Equivocation, Byzantine Fault Tolerance and Eventual Consistency, ..
This contains a lot of notes about what you might want to know when building a data type which should be collaborative, convergent and decentralized.

Computer Networks Group
The Computer Networks Group researches and develops distributed infrastructure for secure communication and computation at all levels of the networking stack. Our past activities include work on sensor networks, autonomic operations of networks, bio- and chemically-inspired networking, as well as mobile code. Currently our main focus is on survivable computing.
The aim of the P2P Basel workshop is to bring together researchers and software builders to share insights and collaborate towards the sound and sustainable development of efficient eventually-consistent (offline-first) peer-to-peer systems. Examples of related projects of interest are Secure #Scuttlebutt , DAT/Hypercore , Cabal , #Tox, BitMessage , #IPFS , Socket Supply co., #OrbitDB , Earthstar , Willow , #Nostr , #Holochain , #P2Panda , #GNUnet , #Hyphanet , #Freenet , #Zeronet , #Retroshare , #NextGraph , #Web3 , #serverless , #maidsafe , #matrix , Other P2P projects that are based on stronger consistency models, such as Mass Market are also of interest.

We've just published a new blog post about access control in decentralised systems!
https://p2panda.org/2025/07/28/access-control.html
The post includes details about the design and implementation of our new p2panda-auth crate, along with a discussion of some of the technical challenges that arise when trying to solve access control in a decentralised context.

Oho! Here is a new in-depth p2panda blog post!
https://p2panda.org/2025/07/09/streams-transactions-crash-resilience.html
This one is about the strategies and design ideas we’re exploring to make p2p applications resilient to critical failures, for both system- and application layers.

Yesterday the "Reflection" project started officially as part of the new @PrototypeFund round! 🌟🌈
The team consists of @p2panda and people from the GNOME gang around @tbernard and @jsparber.
We gonna release "Reflection" (formerly Aardvark) - a GTK-based, collaborative, local-first text editor! Aaaand:
All of this is part of a larger effort to explore p2p code, UX patterns, reusable UI components, debugging tools, organize events and document our learnings.
Today is day two of #BoilingTheOcean 5! Yesterday we were at @101lab in Kreuzberg, hacking on (among other things):
- Tested Aardvark and fixed some p2panda bugs
- Tested GNOME OS on real hardware
- Played with systemd TPM tooling
- Designed a network inspector dev tool for p2panda apps
- Experiments towards a new/modernized Waydroid
- pmbootstrap cleanup
- And more!
Today we're at X-Hain in Friedrichshain! Join us: https://pad.gnome.org/enwydsh2RO2Dv4oOXBz4CQ

Two weeks ago, the p2panda core team gathered in Berlin—hanging in the park, forest, and the "Cultivation Space" in Wedding.
We focused on aligning our efforts around new encryption schemes, robust atomic transactions, groups, and access control.
This is the first big step towards unifying our work into a "super pipeline" that will enable apps to manage access, secure data, support relays, handle multi-device setups, and more.

We finally have confirmed locations for #BoilingTheOcean next week!
Join us in Berlin for hacking and discussions around local-first/p2p, image-based OSes, and other important problems in emancipatory software.
This time we have a pretty complete MVP of Aardvark to play with 🐼🌈
