a while back i posted a few pics of a “dead man’s foot” fungus. i’ve only lived here about five years and they were a first for me. i assumed they had come over in the mulch. but today i saw a larger one up on the trail #mushtodon #fungi

#FungiFriday is once again upon us! Here are some pear-shaped puffballs (Apioperdon pyriforme), which I'm told are edible but I have yet to actually try because they tend to be pretty small and seem tedious to prepare lol

This graveyard is always a good place for fungi, probably because of the vegetation rather than the residents, but who knows?
