Some of my wonderful colleagues at the department of #Maths at the University of #Bologna managed to open a call for 2 scholarships (10kE each) reserved to students from #Gaza . Students can apply just after enrolling online to a single exam, which is cost-free and easy to do.
It's a drop in the ocean, which still required some bureaucratic magic by them. We hope to soon follow also from other Departments (including mine)

Another massive #strike in #Bologna and in #Italy today.
Called only yesterday, it has unclear objectives, it combines many themes and is also against this government.
It is more emotional then rational, it mixes so much discontents and it's a reaction to the feeling of helplessness about what governments allow to happen before our eyes.
That's why I 100% felt like participating, and for the first time I did together with my 11yr old son. 🫠

today in Bologna was the last day of shooting by director Michal Lam of a documentary, shot with a 360° camera explicitly for planetariums...and I apparently was the main character.
I think I nailed it - a role for which I trained all my life.
"Can you look in the right screen? Can you click some button? Type something on the keyboard?"
And I just did, so natural, not even using stuntmen. 😅

Last year a filming team visited me in #Bologna to shoot a few scenes for a documentary about the #Universe and the #Brain to be shown over 360° on the dome of the planetarium in #montreal

[#LETTURE] Stefano Benni, "La battaglia del letame",
Ho conosciuto Benni, come allora firmava i suoi articoli, sulle pagine del quotidiano il manifesto, nella seconda metà degli anni settanta.
Da allora la lettura dei suoi racconti, romanzi e poesie mi ha accompagnato per quasi 50 anni, anche a scuola nelle mie letture ad alta voce in classe.
Per ricordarlo ho scelto di leggere "La battaglia del letame", un brano che fa parte dell'articolo "Diario di una campagna elettorale a Bologna" inserito nel libro Il Benni furioso pubblicato nel 1979 da il manifesto.

Covelli era un esponente monarchico, segretario di Democrazia nazionale, una scissione moderata del MSI.
Lucio Magri è stato uno dei fondatori del manifesto rivista e gruppo politico, segretario del Partito di unità proletaria per il comunismo e ha avuto una parte importante nella mia formazione e militanza politica.
