FediDB is no longer susceptible to software that reports inflated stats, I built a Discord notification service that pings our team when one is detected so we can moderate them instantly, allowing legitimate entries while ignoring obvious fake ones.

Also, shout out to the few big servers that block FediDB and prevent popular accounts from appearing on our index.

Not sure that was their intention, after all, we need to improve discovery.

@dansup How is it that the graph for Total Statuses is dropping? Shouldn't that only increase?

And for Active Accounts, maybe you should use a logarithmic scale, as is done for User Count. Of course the number of active accounts will fluctuate, but the fluctuations appear exaggerated due to the current vertical scale.

Had to take a quick break from Loops dev to do some maintenance on https://fedidb.com

A problematic SQL query (due to inflated stats) is the culprit, and I'm just about done the fix!

The https://fedidb.com/stats aggregate stats will soon be fixed 😉
