That's institutional communication, but there are so many european politicians, from national ministers, party leaders, member of national parliaments or Meps that do interact on X.
It would be awesome if they could just shift that kind of comunication to #fediverse

Natürlich muss man etwas #Geduld mit #Mastodon haben, weil man nicht auf #Reichweiten wie bei #Xitter oder #WhatsApp kommt. Allerdings werden die #Posts weltweit gelesen, aber man muss natürlich auch #Follower generieren, ansonsten ist es eher #unidirektional, wie eine #Zeitung halt. Mir sind allerdings solche #Follower-Zahlen, wie 16,5K völlig schleierhaft, wie man die hier zusammenkriegt. Sind das " #Fans" aus #Twitter-Zeiten ?

Why don't these other big tech players try to take down their competitors by promoting #ActivityPub? It would cost them nothing. Run a server etc. Promote it in their other products. Fund development just a little. They don't need to win, just weaken the other guys.

As @LaurensHof points out, once again they're claiming to "distribute power", while building infrastructure in ways that totally centralises power in their hands. It's getting hard to assume this is a good faith mistake, rather than a cynical reputation laundering strategy.
If you had said even 5 years ago that I would be doing this, I would have thought you'd be crazy, or having a laugh.
But at @cyd flashes up old tweets, ancient blog shares as being deleted it's... strangely satisfying.
