📚Favorite novels include Babel by R.F. Kuang, Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler, No.6 by Asano Atsuko, Taiwan Travelogue by Yáng Shuāng-zi & Future Home of the Living God by Louise Erdrich. Favorite nonfiction includes Fresh Banana Leaves by Jessica Hernández, The Other Slavery by Andres Reséndez & Emergent Strategy by adrienne maree brown. And my favorite manga ever is Fullmetal Alchemist - unbeatable IMO (although I am loving The Summer Hikaru Died these days). I’m rodile on Storygraph.

✏️Current writing projects include a novel about lesbian ecoterrorists & an amorphous story about an anarchist-reformist enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies? situationship.

🎶Music I love includes Mitski, The Muslims, The Gits, Left at London & Doechii. I also love swimming and sleeping and petting my dogs!!!! And persimmons 😅

Looking for language learning suggestions: family member has used Duolingo for years, gave them family license to get rid of ads, but then Duolingo fired most of staff and switched to AI inaccuracies

It's a decent service if you want to speak to a robot owl, but getting ever more incorrect

Platforms or the people learning are Linux and Android

Self-hosting not an option at this time

This is a fantastic tool with great grammar explanations that uses spaced repetition for grammatical concepts, mostly having you fill in the blank for sentences with the correct word (but also sometimes, multiple choice "which is the correct translation?" stuff).

This is how I plugged the gaps in my Spanish grammar left after doing Duolingo. This is how I passed the DELE B2.

Apart from #Polish, in the top 4 we see 3 neo- #Latin languages. This isn't so surprising imho. Latin is highly logical after all.
