What would the opposite of a HOA be called?
If it were the voting council of an anarcho-syndicalist co-op? An organization with no leaders that actually accomplishes things locally, voted on my said Sky Pirate co-op shareholders with a consensus model?
If the sky pirates all had a creative bend, would that be an artist's federation? #ArtFED

Workers abolishing the entire class system.
Anarcho syndicalism.
The role of unions.
A better world.
All this clearly put by Andrewism again.

I’ve lost a lot of respect for Andrewism after his recent upload. It feels disconnected from the reality of working-class life and from anarcho-syndicalism as it actually exists.
This response is a worthwhile read. It doesn’t romanticize work or the working class, but it doesn’t drift into abstract alternatives either. It sits with the fact that we don’t want to be working class, but we are, and that contradiction isn’t something you escape with theory.
I strongly relate to what’s being said.

Someone has encouraged me to engage in party politics by joining a political party. However, I oppose it, because political parties often represent interests that conflict with my own values and belief system.
Rather than aligning myself with parties that promote agendas incompatible with my views, I want to organiz my local community, prioritizing grassroots involvement and direct democratic participation over representative party politics.
As a syndicalist, I firmly believe that the working class should organize itself in autonomous, democratic, bottom-up unions that are driven by their members’ collective self-management. These unions should be the foundation of socio-economic organization, structuring our local communities around the needs of the people rather than profit.
In my view, fundamental needs like food, shelter, housing, and clothing are universal human rights that must be guaranteed to everyone regardless of race, gender, or appearance, free from hierarchy.

From what I have read and continue to study, the transitional phase in anarcho-syndicalism involves the organized syndicates and unions acting as the foundational organs for the new society. These unions are democratically structured and federated at local, regional, national, and international levels. During the transition, they engage in direct action such as strikes and boycotts to challenge capitalist control, while simultaneously building the capacity for worker self-management.
Unlike Marxist theories that propose a transitional state, anarcho-syndicalism rejects the use of state power at any stage. Instead, these federations of workers’ councils are both the instrument and the goal of the transition. When the opportunity for social revolution arrives, these organized bodies would directly assume control over production, land, and social resources, abolishing hierarchical state and capitalist structures.
The resulting society would be libertarian and stateless, based on voluntary cooperation and mutual aid. The transitional phase is thus not a separate intermediate stage but a continuous process of building and expanding workers' self-organization and autonomy within and against the current system, preparing for an immediate shift to a free and egalitarian social order without reliance on centralized authority.
Other anarchists and syndicalists are welcome to correct me if I am mistaken, but this is what I understand and look to when discussing the transitional period within anarcho-syndicalism.

The reason I started posting about my love for working is pretty simple: someone told me anarcho-syndicalists are out here “forcing” people to work. Honestly? If that was true, I couldn’t care less.
I post because I genuinely love the idea of collaborating with others, having an actual say in what I do, and shaping my day alongside my fellow workers.
I want to see real democracy and self-management at work, not bosses compelling workers without their consent.

I'm #ActuallyAutistic, and I want to see a worker-controlled community where the labor process isn’t dictated by rigid hierarchies or managers running some Taylorist algorithm. Imagine abolishing those antiquated top-down structures and running things through federated councils, real participatory democracy, not just a suggestion box theater.
My ideal workday would be one where I’ve got agency over what I do because I’m collaborating with comrades in the union, actively practicing collective self-management, and making decisions by consensus (shoutout to all the meeting minutes, voting procedures, and all the Parecon spreadsheets). Work allocation rotates, responsibilities are balanced, and nobody’s stuck optimizing a Gantt chart for someone else’s profit margin.
With rigid hierarchies intact, there’s no meaningful praxis of democracy. It’s always a one-way mirror, decisions handed down, labor alienated, surplus value siphoned off to distant capital. The material outcomes of our work should strengthen our community, not some absentee shareholders whose only connection to our lives is a quarterly earnings call.
Do I enjoy working? Definitely. But in a world built on genuine worker self-management, where we plan, balance, and carry out decisions together, I’d enjoy it just a little bit more.
