Who would _you_ trust to advise you about #HeatPumps and #AirConditioning?
if you're burning a fireplace fire in LA county right now because it's below 65 & this makes you want a cozy fire in your fireplace... i'd like to thank you in particular for my sore throat + early onset dementia from PM2.5, most of which i can't avoid but yours is the most gratuitous imaginable
i truly don't understand anyone who thinks "woodsmoke = cozy" given all the wildfire smoke we have now; i also don't understand anyone who thinks 65 is brrr chilly
I agree, 18°C is tolerable for me, but I have older relatives with lower metabolic rates who need temperatures in the mid-twenties. There's a reason why old folks' homes are always so stiflingly hot.
I'm not defending air pollution. We're about to go through our first winter with #HeatPumps. Ask me in January whether I'm glad we upgraded!
Does anyone out there know anything about heat pumps? We were thinking of having them installed, but a local contractor in Maine told us it would cost us $38,000 to put in a system. I was under the impression that a system would cost $4,000 to $10,000. Am I wrong to think that $38,000 is way too expensive? #HeatPumps#HeatPump#Home#House #Winter#Maine
