Tip: you can reduce the heat your laptop/desktop computer generates by limiting its CPU frequency.
To restrict all cores to 800MHz on Linux, run one of these two commands as root:
cpupower frequency-set -u 800MHz
echo 800000 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq

Why 800MHz? Because it's a typical minimum of modern processors, at least the Intel ones I've used. You can get the minimum frequencies of your CPU cores with:
grep -H '' /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/cpuinfo_min_freq
Is it slow? Eight hundred million clock cycles per second is faster than CPUs were 30 years ago and is sufficient both for basic use and to play games from that era. However, it does noticeably slow down even some basic features on my system.

Fedilab supports several APIs (Mastodon, PeerTube, Misskey...), but each one carries the limits of its own server: what the server knows how to do, what it federates, what it exposes. OpenMLS, our implementation of the Messaging Layer Security (MLS) protocol, has undergone a security audit conducted by @srlabs and sponsored by the @sovtechfund.
The security audit marks an important step toward making OpenMLS more secure. In this post, we share the results and take the opportunity to give a broader introduction to OpenMLS.
HolosSocial brings them together in a single app. It understands different ActivityPub object types and presents each one in its own way: a real video player, a calendar entry for events, a reader for articles. You can easily attach your own cloud to host your media, with videos compressed on the device before upload.

@Vivaldi Well, I noticed another curious issue: when trying to log into Melon Usk's site, after entering my email address and clicking "Next", it displays the same window again where I have to enter my email address – it looks like it's gone into a loop. However, in the incognito window of the same browser, I can log in without any problems. Tested on the latest versions of Vivaldi on Windows 11 and Fedora 44 KDE.
Do you use extensions? If you do, try disabling them one by one to see if any of them is causing the issue.

Asp. secondo me c'è un problema di fondo.
"Patriarcato" ≠ "Uomini" ma come la società pensa che gli uomini (e le donne) debbano comportarsi, o comunque se un comportamento è opportuno o no.
Prova a pensare come vengono chiamate le donne che fanno "cose da uomini" come le corse con le macchine.
"Maschiacce".
